App Store celebrates its 5th birthday with almost 1 million apps and the Play Store just behind them with around 850k apps, this is something incredible to cheer upon. But do we really think this is a great feat? You might think it is but I don’t.
Have you ever played on a console like Playstation, Xbox or Wii? How does it feel like playing on that? Is the feeling better than playing on a mobile or a tablet? Have you ever wished to play a mobile game on a console? Imagine if we had console for that and playing games like Tiny Wings, Trigger Fist, Walking Dead, Modern Combat, Contra (the newly released one on iOS) and many more, it would have been so much fun. But neither of the two big companies Apple and Google are looking forward to it.
Recently Ouya, an android based console is released for a price of $99 but no games purchased from the Play Store can be played on that. What a shame. The business model is just so awful in respect of gamers, what they want is just money. Being a gamer I really feel so bad for this.
Recently, there has been some rumours that Google is planning to launch its gaming console later this year or next year and so do Apple as stated by The Wall Street Journal. This somewhat drives me into excitement but still I think, will they bring the mobile games to their consoles or will release the games specifically that can be played on their consoles like what Sony and Microsoft does with their Playstation and Xbox.
If either Apple or Google are able to bring their consoles on which mobile games can be played on then it will mark the starting of a new era of mobile gaming and I’m so much excited and waiting for it to see that soon.
What do you think about this? Will Apple and Google ever unleash their mobile gaming consoles? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
