In the middle of March, 4J Studios, Microsoft and Mojang announced that the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft would be getting a retail version. Gamers who don’t have their consoles connected to the internet will have a chance to get in on the console-based world building action.
That retail release was due on April 30th. Over the weekend, Xbox LIVE’s Larry Hyrb announced on Twitter that the retail version of Minecraft was getting a delay. Here’s the tweet:
FYI: In order to include the very latest content, the retail version for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has been delayed until June 4 (US)
The retail version of Minecraft is selling for two groups of people, the gamers without an internet connection and the game collectors. Minecraft for the Xbox 360 receives big title updates, 4J Studios wants to ensure that the boxed version receives a big content add-on before it hits shelves.
The retail edition of Minecraft for the Xbox 360 should sell on June 4th, 2013 for $19.99.
